I don't understand why I can only adjust to see out of one eye. I can close one eye and adjust to see image but opening the other it is blurry.

Hi Jason just got my kite 16X42 APC binoculars from Stealth birding ..my question is ,while watching your vid showing the back of the binoculars top middle your bins has Japan then numbers ,yet mine has just numbers..watched more vids the same Japan then numbers..so I was wondering is there a reason for this ?

I bought these 18x50 and they are amazing, do you have a harness bag you would recommend since they are so large?

I recently purchased an 8 x 20 to add to my 10 x 30 and 12 x 36 Canon IS binoculars. The 8 x 20s are going back. Not because they don’t stabilize well or the image isn’t up to snuff. It’s the build quality and the feel in my hands that disappoint. The larger Canons have a rubber coating (which after 7 years is still perfect, but I keep them in their case when no in use) and the PID is easy to adjust on the larger ones. The 8 x 20s are all smooth plastic, are difficult to adjust the PID, and have no diopter adjustment. So sharing them is difficult. The image stabilization is good, but the improvement is not as dramatic as with the larger, more powerful binoculars. At $449, I would go with a non-IS camera with better ergonomics.

My pair arrived to and they are very powerful. They are keepers. I am going to look at Comets, Satellites, etc. Well worth the cost. Just need to find a tripod.

I just bought the Kite Optics APC 18x50 Stabilized ED Binoculars (Li-Ion version), for Astronomy purposes (I ain't no birder or hunter! 😅). Btw-what do you think? Are they good for Astronomy in your view? Your input would be greatly appreciated! 😊😊

Thanks, definitely very informative. The pricing between the very high end vs the very low end is apparent. But what about the lower end vs the low end? I'm going on an Alaskan cruise and want to purchase pair of binoculars just for the cruise. The best budget pair (under $50 euros) from some brief research is Occer 12x25 Compact Binoculars. In comparison to binoculars in the $100-$150, is the performance that much better? If so which pair of binoculars would you recommend in the $100 range? Thanks.

I operate a farm, hunt, hike... I finally ditched the binos for a monocular and man, it is so much easier. It's portable. It's one handed (though small binos can be one handed) and less fiddly. I.e. it's faster. IMHO ... a monocular is just better. I'll never go back to binoculars.

Came here to see if the Kite APC 16x42 would bring the objects too close compared to my 10 x42 binocular. As in, would it make the object harder to find and how dark would it be. Not sure I found the answer I wanted, but that was certainly not your fault. Amazing comparisons, thanks a lot.

Thank you for your great videos and blog! Not sure if you'll read this, but if you do, do you happen to have a recommendation on a compact waterproof binocular that is tripod mountable? I saw the Pentax Papilio II 8.5x21 was your 2024 compact pick and it hits almost all my requirements except for the waterproof part. I was thinking of maybe saving up for the Steiner Wildlife 8x24 and gluing a female camera mount onto it. The main reason I'd like it to be tripod mountable is because i think it would be neat to have it on a quick release camera clip so I could attach it to my backpack strap.

Is this one of those you-don't-have-the-product reviews?

Update on the $35.19 12x42 Suncore Binoculars I purchased off the temu have arrived . They weren't 12x42 they were 10x42 I was like perfect. They more then exceeded my expectations. I had recently purchase a pair of 8X42 Celestron Nature DX ED $ 152 for my wife and used them to compare. The Suncore seem to be noticeably better then the Celestron's and I ask others and they said the same thing. I also test them at night vision with the same results. They where not better then my Carl Zeiss 10x50. I am very happy with the purchase of the Suncore Binoculars and plan on using them on the bike trail. I would buy them again and maybe buy a pair of my truck. For that price why not.

I'm waiting for a new pair of Athlon Midas 12x50 genII after having gone through the amazing articles and in depth review you made on BBR website. They seem to be fantastic value for money. As a amateur astronomer and wildlife photographer, I only use the best I can afford. I can't emphasize enough on the importance of glass quality and coating used. This is really what makes the difference between ok- lenses and top tier ones. It's a HUGE deal when using them on a regular basis. Thank you for your amazing work and well needed informations !
